He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Mott and Cecelia Mott (Krapp); and his brothers, Ken Mott and Bryan Mott. He is survived by: his children, Julie Ely (John) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michael Mott of Cedar Rapids, IA, Randy Mott of Peosta, IA and Kristi Erhart (Ryan) of Marion, IA.; and his siblings, Roger Mott and Mercele Kaduce. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of the Resurrection (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002).
Memorials may be given to the Church of the Resurrection.
