He is survived by: his parents, Judson Clark of Dubuque and Karen Emerson Clark (Tom) of Portugal; his wife Bridget Mary Hurm; his daughter Dorothy Ada; his sisters, Heather Clark (Bob Harris) of Poynette, WI and Marlene Johnson (Eric) of Grinnell, IA; his stepbrothers, Paul Goranson (Kim) of Sherrill and Timothy Goranson (Melissa) of Dubuque; his siblings-in-law, Jessica Hurm-Abresch (Dan) of Dubuque, Meggan Merrick (Brandon) of Dubuque, Peter Hurm (Renae Hubbard) of Dubuque, Abigail Degenhardt (Eric) of Dubuque, Molly Merrick (Aren) of Dubuque, Martin Hurm (Lindsy) of Dubuque and Patrick Hurm (Anna) of Dubuque; and his nieces and nephews, Max, Jack, Lily Kemp, Elliot, Noah Dobson, Cameron Merrick, Wyatt, Ryder, Flynn, Willow Hurm, Rosalyn, Gilbert Degenhardt, Christian, Alexandria Merrick, Gabriel, Hudson Hurm, Finley, Lola, Tripp Hurm, Grace, Grant Goranson and Evelyn Goranson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory (3860 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Linwood Cemetery (2736 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Dorothy's education.
