He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis T. Haxmeier and Catherine Haxmeier (Wanderscheid); his daughter Chandra Hinke; his siblings, Lois Deppe (Ardell), Donald Haxmeier (Marilyn), Mary Helmle (Donald), Wayne "Bud" Haxmeier and Shirley Ernst (Joseph); and his brother-in-law Ronald Kuhl.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hinke; his children, Jessi Recker (Brian), Pam McCarron (Bryan) and Shelley Hinke (Ken Hancock); his grandchildren, Justin Foust, Cody Foust (Shandra), Nikki Foust, Evalyn Flowers, Lindsay Schmidt (Cameron) and Isabella Garcia; his great grandchildren, Hazel Foust and Brynn Foust; his sisters, Betty Koos (Gerald) and Joanne Ernst (Herbert); and his sister-in-law Mildred Haxmeier.
In lieu of flowers a Gerald Haxmeier memorial fund will be established.
