He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Klinkner and Mary Klinkner (Grant); his former wife Grace; his children, David Klinkner, Mary Brewer and Sara Vicks; his sons-in-law, Don Brewer, David Byard and Steven Kroymann; and his brother Kenneth Klinkner.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Klinkner (Norma) of Clinton, IA, Christine Voss (Jim) of Clinton, IA and Angela Kroymann of Gretna, NE; his daughter-in-law Katie Rolfe (John); his sisters, Jean Waterman and Patricia Robson; his wife Shirley; and his stepchildren, Sheri Leslein (Ron) of Belfry, MT, Jack Droullard (Kim) of Epworth, IA and Judy Boerm (Kurt) of Traer, IA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.
