Barta in Dubuque, Iowa, born in Fairfax, Iowa, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Barta and Bertha Barta (Brecht); and his siblings, Melvin (Mike) and Arlene (Max Thompson). He is survived by: his brothers, Ron Barta (Darlene) and Rev. Ardel Barta of Dubuque. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "Catholic Charities of Dubuque".
