He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hutchcroft and Honora "Nora" Hutchcroft (Urbain); his parents-in-law, Isabell Shanahan (Lammer) and John Shanahan; his children-in-law, Paul Clasen and Michelle Hutchcroft; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Leny Hutchcroft; his sister Joan; his brother-in-law Jim Hickson; his siblings, Emma Jean Bergfeld and Danny Hutchcroft; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Heim, Paul Shanahan, Pat Shanahan, Ann Timmerman, Loras and Julie Shanahan.
He is survived by: his wife Eulaine Marie Shanahan; his children, Lois Clasen, Lori Clasen (Jerry), Bill Hutchcroft (Betty), Tom Hutchcroft, Karen Kilburg (Terry), Steve Hutchcroft, Dave Hutchcroft (Kristi), Don Hutchcroft and Amy Erickson (Jed); his grandchildren, Chad Clasen, Keith Clasen (Inna), Kayla Hanson (Justin), Jamie Clasen (Missy), Janelle Haun (Ben), Michelle Budde (Jeremy), Chad Till (Julia Marambey), Ryan Hutchcroft (Jenny), Amber Hutchcroft, Andrew Hutchcroft, Cory Davis, Alex, Anika and Jake Erickson; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Mila Clasen, Kayleigh Faulkner, Huxtin Hanson, Nora Clasen, Grayson, Guy, Grant, Jay Haun, Kaitlyn Steines, Zach, Gabbie Scott, Cash, Corbyn, Connor Budde, Anya, Ariana Marambey, Gwen Dunlap and Ava Felderman; his great great grandchildren, Emery, Jaxson Steines and Aurora Eiklenborg; his siblings, Georgia Willging (Jim) and John Hutchcroft (Sandi); and his in-laws, Charlie Bergfeld, Dellene Till, Mary Felderman (George), Chuck Shanahan (Mary), Arlene Shanahan, Bob Timmerman, Ginny Heim and Kay Shanahan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (10204 Key W Dr, Dubuque, IA 52003). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
