He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Maas and Alice Maas (Hamsmith); his parents-in-law, Leo and Mary Stierman; his siblings, Thomas Maas and Joanne Stierman; and his brothers-in-law, Laverne and Edward Stierman.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Stierman; his children, Kathy Oakes (Allan) of Racine, WI, Pat Maas (Jody) of Dubuque, Paula Fitzgerald (John) of Dubuque, Carol Wadsley (Bryon) of Humboldt, IA and Carla Courtney (John) of Davenport, IA; his sister Karen Maas; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Stierman (Jeanne) and Carol Maas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to the American Heart Association and the Holy Spirit Parish.
