It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janaan Manternach of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Manternach and Anita Manternach (Takes); her siblings, Orland, Thomas, Janet Ripple and Grace Miller; her parents-in-law, Carl and Emma Heine Pfeifer; her siblings-in-law, Richard Ripple, Richard Pfeifer, Luann Vaske Manternach, Janice Manternach, Cecelia Lucas Manternach and Helen Manternach; her niece Amy Manternach Kurt; her nephew Dale Manternach; and her niece-in-law Cathy Kimm Manternach.
She is survived by: her brother Donald Manternach (Anita); her sister-in-law Rosemary Pfeifer; her godchildren, Angela Barbieri Usas, Miguel Barbieri, Edward Jeep and Emily Jeep Klingaman; and her grandchildren, Jake and Hannah Verrips. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
