We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2025, Janet Kenkel (Dubuque, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chunat and Anna Chunat (Bily); her husband John "Jack" Dale Kenkel; her son Dale John Kenkel; her great grandchild Zayn Michael Kenkel; her siblings, Marian "Toots", Dorothy, Leona, Patricia, Betty, Jean, Shirley, William and John "Bud"; her siblings-in-law, William Kenkel, Robert Kenkel and Marlene Hellman; and her parents-in-law, Frank and Irene Kenkel (Schnee).
She is survived by: her children, David Alan Kenkel of Dubuque, Douglas Alan Kenkel (Sherri Mellon) of Dubuque, Asbury and Dori Witt (Carey) of Volente, TX.. She is also survived by twelve beautiful grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Columbkille's Catholic Church (1240 Rush St, Dubuque, IA 52003). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
