He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Anthony and Ruth A. Anthony (Tegeler); and his brother Thomas Anthony. He is survived by: his siblings, Gerald J. Anthony of Prairie du Chien, WI, Janet Hirsch (Steve) of Dubuque, John Anthony (Jack) of Sherrill, IA and June Berntgen (Tim); and his nieces and nephews, Dawn Hinzman (Matt), Mike Hirsch (Ellie), Brad Anthony (Jen), Ben Berntgen (Jennifer) and Becky Schueller (Stuart).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens and the Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
