She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence E. Russell and Alice E. Russell (Heid); her former husband Eric Fraehlich; her husband James Friedman; her former husband L. Edward Schiltz; her daughter-in-law Diane Fraehlich; and her siblings, Edwin Russell and Bernita Auer.
She is survived by: her children, David Fraehlich of Asbury and Jeanne Lloyd (Ned) of Chicago, IL; her granddaughters, Dr. Alison Fraehlich of Davenport, IA and Natalie Fraehlich of Cedar Rapids, IA; her nephew Clark Russell; and her niece Becky Zolczynski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Joan's name to Cozy Corner Adult Day Services.
