With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn C. Fries of Dubuque, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kieffer and Vivian Kieffer (Sullivan); and her husband Cyril Fries. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Fries (Linda) and Danielle Kerkenbush (Kevin); her grandsons, Jason Fuller (Emily) and Cody Fuller (Cortney); and her great grandchildren, Olive Mae Fuller, Paxton Fuller, Cy Fuller and Colson Fuller.

JoAnn requests no flowers and would prefer memorials in her name directed to Saint Raphael Cathedral or Hospice of Dubuque.
