He is survived by: his children, Maria Steckel of Polk City, IA, Bryan Steckel (Heather) of Dubuque, IA, Kristina Habel (Jaime) of Dubuque, IA, Lisa Vogt (Ben) of Hazel Green, WI and Mark Steckel of Iowa City, IA; his sisters, Diana Pins (Steve) of Dubuque, IA and Donna Cox of Peoria, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Steckel of Dubuque, IA and Ruby Steckel of Aurora, CO.
