He is survived by: his wife Mary Parkin of Dubuque; his children, Lucy Parkin (Steven Nailor) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Jenny Parkin of Dubuque, Polly Fleming (Dan) of Dubuque, Penny Sacco (Dan) of Dubuque, Jess Parkin (Sholanda Williams) of West Hartford, CT, Ben Parkin (Cheryl Evans) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Guy Parkin (Beth) of Dubuque, Ned Parkin of Dubuque and Chad Parkin (Heather) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan), Brody, Noah, Micah, Jillian (Riley), Christopher (Jacq), Jackie (Bobby), Lauren (Jaymes), Elizabeth (Matthew), Natalie (Jon), Gabe (Amanda), McKenzie (Jake), Lucas (Morgan), Trevor (Shelby), Alec, Paige and Nora; his great grandchildren, Riley, Evelyn, Mason, Max, Navey, Friedrich, Louis, Juliana, Prudence, Patrick, Rosalie, Teller, Lewis and Felix; Sharon Fink of Dubuque, Rita Parkin of Dubuque, Ken Werth of Dubuque and Annice Parkin of Dubuque.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents; his son Sam Parkin; father and mother in-law Elmer and Agnes Fink; siblings Bob Parkin, Delores (Ralph) Van Nett, Phyllis Baumhover, and Carol Davis; in-laws Shirley (Duane) Deutmeyer, Jackie (Derry) Jacobs, Karl (Janaan) Fink, and Elmer Fink Jr. Memorials will be given to the organizations that Jake supported.
