She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Slaats and Florence Slaats (Bode); her husband John "Jack" J. Rokusek; her son Jay; her siblings, Guerdon Slaats (Donna) and Betty Kuepers (Jerome); her brother-in-law Cletus Rokusek (Germaine); and her parents-in-law, John and Lucille Rokusek.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Mussmann of Guttenberg, IA, Jeri Noonan (Terry) of Edmond, OK and Jolene Goedken (Dave) of Potosi, WI; her grandchildren, Michelle Spadin, Angie Spadin and Casey Noonan (Nikki); her great grandchildren, Alexis and Zachary Friedley; and her brothers, Merlin Slaats (Doris) and Roger Slaats (Mary).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory (3860 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish - Holy Trinity (1701 Rhomberg Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
