As Karen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Karen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Bush and Josephine Bush (Fox); and her sister-in-law Tahee Bush. She is survived by: her husband Raymond "Bud" Hughes of Dubuque; her stepson Ray Hughes (Jackie) of Milan, IL; her siblings, Joe Bush (Deb) of Dubuque, Sue Maas (Rod) of Dubuque and Larry Bush of Hawaii; and her niece Amy Lessei (Steve) of Dubuque.
