With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth A. Brecht of Dubuque, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Brecht and Lorraine Brecht (Jaeger); his wife Evelyn Alt of Patrick's Catholic Church; and his brothers, Melvin, Delbert and Walter.
He is survived by: his children, Christine A. Manning (Tony) of Palm Harbor, FL, Brian E. Brecht (Lori) of Grimes, IA and Carrie M. Timmerman (Jeff) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Joshua (Taylor), Sean, Bryce, Kylie and Colin Manning; his children, Payton (Molly), Brady Brecht (Natasha), Jake, Chloe and Rayna Timmerman; his great grandchildren, Allison, Savannah Manning and Baker Brecht; and his in-laws, Dorothy Brecht, Dianne Brecht, Mike Alt (Sandy), Shirley Lex (Bob) and Patty Wiegel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
