He is survived by: his children, Steven Ziegenfuss (Mellinda) of Des Moines, IA, David Ziegenfuss of Dubuque, Jon Ziegenfuss of Dubuque and Robin Hingtgen (Tom) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Matthew Ziegenfuss (Katie), Jennifer Ziegenfuss Boots, Kelly Ziegenfuss, Amanda McCann (Ryan), Ally Ziegenfuss, Sam Hingtgen (Megan), Seth Hingtgen (Carmen) and Sianna Hingtgen; his great grandchildren, Kole, Zoey, Gabriel, Levi, Bill, Hailie, Zoe, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Morgan, Kaleb, Evan, Nora, Willa, Marissa, Gunnar and Lily; and his brothers, Tom Ziegenfuss (Nancy) and Richard Ziegenfuss (Toni). He is also survived by eight great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dubuque Arboretum.
