He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. LaPage and Linda E. LaPage (Miller); his stepfather Clarence McDermott; and his siblings, Keith, Lester LaPage and Linda Lou LaPage.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey M. LaPage (Sandy), James M. LaPage (Stacey) and Jolene M. LaPage; his grandchildren, Nathen, Patrick, Ryan "Buzz", Katie, Rachel, Sarah and Kayla; his niece Candy Hachmann (Bob) of Peosta; his former wife Sandy Walker; his brother-in-law Jim Walker; and his caregiver Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, a Lionel LaPage Memorial Fund has been established.
