She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Borja and Antonio Borja; her husband Deane Charles Dement (Dino); and her brothers, Luis and Raoul.

She is survived by : her sister Mila Sirucka; her children, Robert "Lucky" Dement (Thea), Deanna Dement Myers, Gigi Dement and Samantha Dement Graham; and her grandchildren, Lola Dement Myers, Sebrina Dement Semer, Ivy Dement Myers (Nell), Harrison Dement Graham, Noli Dement Semer, Griffin Dement Graham and Cooper Dement Graham.

A wake was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 3:45 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Nativity (1224 Alta Vista St, Dubuque, IA 52001).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family, or a donation can made in her name at a charity of your choice.
