She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wagner and Carrie Wagner (Trentz); her husband Donald J. Theisen; her grandson Garrett Theisen; her siblings, George (Mary), John (Mary Lou), Tony (Shirley), Joe (Monica), Leo Wagner (Alice), Margaret Goerdt-Doerr (Merl) and Dorothy Eisbach (Lee); and her brother-in-law Bob O'Leary.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Theisen of Dubuque, Jim Theisen (Mary) of Mansfield, TX, Steve Theisen (Sue) of Hudson, IA, Donna Theisen (Fred Leffert) of San Francisco, CA and David Theisen (Anne Mary) of Tewksbury, MA; her siblings, Walter Wagner of St. John's, FL and Helen O'Leary of Dubuque; her close friend Joe MacDonald of Dubuque; and also Laurie Parker (Greg). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish - Sacred Heart (2215 windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Dubuque Food Pantry and Bethany Home.
