He is survived by: his wife Charlene (Teo); his children, Brett and Brooke; his siblings, Steve Althaus (Pat), Nina Meyer (John), Tony Althaus (Peg) and Nanette (Chuck Meeker); and his godchildren, Angie Noel, Amy LeGrand, Will Meeker and Jason Kueper.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to The Special Olympics, DuRide, The Wounded Warrior Project, or The Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
