He was predeceased by: his mother Helen A. McClanahan; his in-laws, Delbert and Alice Manders; and his sisters, Kim Langrehr and Nancy Taggart.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Manders of Dubuque; his children, Sara Miller (Clayton) of Peosta, Amber Laufenberg (Kyle) of Dubuque, Ann McClanahan of East Dubuque, Ben McClanahan of Peosta, Alex McClanahan of Jesup, GA and Andrew McClanahan of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Kaelen, Wyatt, Chloe, Carter, Payton and Layne; his siblings, Milton McClanahan (Michelle) of Rio Dell, CA, Mary Cook (LeMarr) of Dubuque and Jason Kohn of Dubuque; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Fawcett (Dan) of Forman, ND, Vickie Connolly (Steve) of Dubuque, Cathy Manders of Dubuque, Mike Manders (Kathy) of Laurel, MT, Tim Manders of Farley and Carla Manders of Dubuque. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory (3860 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish - Sacred Heart (2215 windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001).
