He was predeceased by: his mother Helen A. McClanahan; his in-laws, Delbert and Alice Manders; and his sisters, Kim Langrehr and Nancy Taggart.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Manders of Dubuque; his children, Sara Miller (Clayton) of Peosta, Amber Laufenberg (Kyle) of Dubuque, Ann McClanahan of East Dubuque, Ben McClanahan of Peosta, Alex McClanahan of Jesup, GA and Andrew McClanahan of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Kaelen, Wyatt, Chloe, Carter, Payton and Layne; his siblings, Milton McClanahan (Michelle) of Rio Dell, CA, Mary Cook (LeMarr) of Dubuque and Jason Kohn of Dubuque; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Fawcett (Dan) of Forman, ND, Vickie Connolly (Steve) of Dubuque, Cathy Manders of Dubuque, Mike Manders (Kathy) of Laurel, MT, Tim Manders of Farley and Carla Manders of Dubuque. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
