She was predeceased by: her parents, August Joester and Hilda Joester (Krapfl); her husband Al; her son John; and her brother James Joester.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Baumhover (Steve), Dan Kerper (Joanne) and Mary Pat Kerper; her grandchildren, John Baumhover (Sara), Andy Baumhover (Katie), Elizabeth Kerper (Brian Riggins) and Allison Kerper (Valmik Patel); her great grandchildren, Claire, Will, Frances, Jacob, Zach, Cris and Ashlyn; and her sister Mary Maiers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (2001 St Joseph St, Dubuque, IA 52002).
