He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold "Jake" Kunnert and Melita "Letty" Kunnert (May); his sister Sharon "Deetsy" Kunnert; his parents-in-law, Nick and Verna Brimeyer (Riniker); and his brother-in-law Curt Vrotsos.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Brimeyer; his children, Nicholas Kunnert (Kristen) and Natalie Kane (David); his grandsons, Lucas, Drew Kunnert, Charlie, Paul and Kevin Kane; his siblings, Kevin Kunnert (Mary Warner), William Kunnert, John Kunnert (Kimberly Erusha), Thomas Kunnert (Kelly Kehoe), Barbara Stoffel (Rob), Beth Ries (Bill), Susan Techau (Bill) and Kathleen Gruhl (Ivan); and his sisters-in-law, Debra Vrotsos and Darla Wisinger (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Pat's honor to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Honor Flight of Dubuque, or a charity of the donor's choice.
