Ramona Kartman Obituary
We announce the death of Ramona Kartman (Dubuque, Iowa), who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 94. Ramona will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Ray Meredith (Waggoner); her husband Louis E. Kartman; her siblings, Darrel Meredith, Dwayne Meredith and Beryl Lucker; her son-in-law David Burrows; and her close friend Candy.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Kartman, Lori Burrows, LouAnn DeMoske and Kari Hamilton (Jim); her grandchildren, Curt Frommelt, Matthew Frommelt, Kalee Davis, Emily DeMoske, Natalie Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton (Kara) and Chris Kartman (Holly); and her great grandchildren, Dominic Kartman-Smith, Jayden, Chase Davis, June Kartman, Louis Kartman, Heidi Kartman, Peter Kartman, Lily Frommelt, Matty Frommelt, Leland Hamilton and Josie Hamilton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis E. Kartman; her parents, Ray and Ivy Meredith; brothers, Darrel Meredith and Dwayne Meredith; sister, Beryl Lucker; three sons-in-law, including David Burrows; and her loyal companion, Candy, whose companionship brought her comfort through the challenges of the COVID era.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund had been established.
