He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Gerhard and Myrtle Gerhard (Jewel); his wife Florence Gerhard; his grandchildren, Tyler and Sarah Wiessing; and his great grandchild Parker White.
He is survived by: his children, Cyndy Meyer (John), Connie Gerhard, Curt Gerhard (Theresa), Kelly Gerhard and Carla Wiessing (Ted); his grandchildren, Tracy Meyer, Drew Meyer, Katie Kieffer, Julia Wiessing, Griffin Wiessing and Clara Gerhard; his great grandchildren, Jaylynn Hirsch, Morgan Meyer, Payton Gerhard, Maddison Meyer and Jette White; and his siblings, Rita Gerhard (Pickle) and Dick Gerhard.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM and on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at the American Legion Post #6 (1306 Delhi St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
