Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Gomoll and Ruth E. Gomoll; and his father-in-law Erling Lageson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lageson of Dubuque, IA; his sons, Brian Gomoll and Michael Gomoll (Andrea); his granddaughter Cora Gomoll (Ryan LeMay) of Dubuque, IA.; his sister Evelyn Sexton (Jerry) of Geneseo, IL; his mother-in-law Vivian Lageson; and his sister-in-law Sandy Schober of Blanchardville, WI..

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Robert's name be given to the ALS Association or to St. John's Lutheran Church of Dubuque, IA.

“I won't be able to make his funeral or wake but Mr Gomoll was an amazing person I knew him very well we lifted weights together and talked hours on end I gave him the medal he hung on his polar bear in his class room if it wasn't for Mr.Gomoll I wouldn't be the man I am now !
