He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Kirby and Mary Kirby (Olsen); his brothers, Roger "Butch" Kirby and Gerald "Jerry" Kirby; and his brothers-in-law, Don Kowalske, Bob Bainbridge, Ron Reed and Dan Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Reed; his children, Robin Kirby, Angela Kirby and Joe Kirby; his grandchildren, Sidney Skahill, Amanda Skahill, Tyler North, Willow Kirby, Teoni Kirby, Thaileah Winfrey, Titan Feeney and Tayshawn Kirby; his great grandchildren, Kristina, Trace, Trayden, Taylyn and Tavion; his siblings, Larry Kirby (Rene), Sharon Bainbridge, Patty Kowalske and Mike Kirby (Carrie); and his sisters-in-law, Shari Kirby and Lynn Kirby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003).
