We announce the death of Robert J. Mueller of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Mueller and Elizabeth L. "Betty" Mueller (Berg); his brother Thomas Mueller; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Gartner and Joseph Gartner.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Mueller of Dubuque, IA; his children, Katie Mueller (Tyler Abresch) of Dubuque, IA and Kristopher Mueller (Haley Gamertsfelder); his grandson Beau Abresch; his siblings, Carol Simon (Dave Meyer) of Dubuque, IA, Sue Nagelmaker (Bruce) of Dubuque, IA, Joseph Mueller (Renee) of Dubuque, IA, Beth Heins (Jerry) of Dubuque, IA and James Mueller (Lisa) of Sherrill, IA; and his in-laws, Jim Gartner of Banner, KY, Terry Gartner (Doris) of Dubuque, IA, Bill Gartner (Birgit) of Bernard, IA, Donna Dendy (Mike) of San Antonio, TX, Steve Gartner (Carmen) of Clarksville, TN, Greg Gartner (Carol) of Dubuque, IA and Delaine Gartner of Conway, AR.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (2921 Central Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
