With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger W Gross of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Gross and Gertrude Gross (Boxler); and his son-in-law DJ. He is survived by: his wife Pat of Mary's Church; his daughters, Brenda Stowers (Terry) of Dubuque, IA and Sue Voss (Terry) of Galena, IL; his siblings, Donald Gross (Nancy) of St. Donatus, IA and Janet Brehm of Dubuque, IA; his in-laws, LeRoy Hoftender of East Dubuque, IL, Rosemary Brimeyer, Jr. (Hubert) of Dubuque, IA, Vince "Jiggs" Hoftender of East Dubuque, IL, Shirley Gassman (Rick) of Dubuque, IA and Gerald "Moe" Hoftender (Linda); his sister-in-law Deanna Hoftender of East Dubuque, IL; and his half-brothers, Louie and Izzy Miller. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (1185 IL-35, East Dubuque, IL 61025). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Galena Bible Church (11108 US 20 W, Galena, IL 61036).
