He is survived by : his wife Donna Priest of Dubuque, IA; his children, Connie Hendren of Dubuque, IA, Patrick Hayes (Karol) of Dubuque, IA and Gary Hayes of Sauk Centre, MN; his grandchildren, Chansey (Alex), Justin Hayes, Jordan Hayes (Minnie), Jeremy Hayes, Kayla Gotherman (Cory), Emily Hayes, Alek Hayes, Austyn Hayes (Ashley), Andrew Hayes, Avery Hayes (Hannah) and Arianna Foxx (Clayton); and his sister Kathy Arensdorf (Tom) of Eldridge, IA.
