She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent L. Hoftender and Marie A. Hoftender (Loeffelholz); her granddaughter Robin Deutmeyer; her brothers, Robert, Donald and Raymond Hoftender; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Hoftender, Modesta "Sis" Hoftender and Roger Gross.
She is survived by: her husband Hubert; her children, Kim Stanton (Charlie) of Peosta, IA, Lynne Baumhover of Dubuque, IA, Charles Shepherd (Lisa) of East Dubuque, IL and Tracey Shepherd-Briggs of Galena, IL; her siblings, LeRoy Hoftender, Vincent "Jiggs" Hoftender, Shirley Gassman (Rick), Gerald "Moe" Hoftender (Lynn) and Pat Gross; and her sister-in-law Deanna Hoftender. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (1185 IL-35, East Dubuque, IL 61025). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A Rosemary G. Brimeyer Memorial Fund has been established.
