It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Frances Hickson of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Cunningham and Cora Shores; her husband Joseph Hickson; her sister Naomi Polsean (Ray); her parents-in-law, Frank and Edna Hickson; and her brother-in-law Raymond Hickson.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Hickson (Regina) of Bumpus Mills, TN, Pat Hickson (Kathy) of Dubuque, Karen Conrad of Epworth, Ellen Sarazin (Bob) of Dubuque and Jolene Arensdorf (Stanley Kane) of Dubuque; her brother David Cunningham (Linda) of Windsor, Oregon; and her brother-in-law Robert Hickson (Rosie) of Bellevue, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Journey Assembly of God Church (3939 Pennsylvania Ave, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
