It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hunt of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Hunt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father David J. Hunt; her sister Gloria Marie; and her grandparents, Clarence, Clara Ernzen, John and Marcella Hunt.
She is survived by: her mother Rita M. Hunt (Ernzen) of Newton, IA; her siblings, Roger Hunt (Tammy) of Des Moines, Lloyd Hunt of New York, Don Hunt (Laura) of Derby and Lois Holmes (Rich) of Grinnell; her nieces, Samantha, Courtney, Jamie and Payton; and her godparents, Ralph Hunt and Geraldine Ernzen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (16318 Holy Family Ln, Peosta, IA 52068). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
