With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley J. Steger of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmet Brennan and Ruth Brennan (Beatty); her brother Bob Brennan (Mary K.); and her sister-in-law Mary P. Brennan. She is survived by: her children, Kim Beckman (Dave) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Troy Steger of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Trey Beckman (Grace), Gabrielle Beckman, Zoey Steger and Hailey Steger; her siblings, Bev Jackson (Tim) of Emmetsburg, IA, Ruthann Haywood (John) of Emmetsburg, IA and Mike Brennan of Emmetsburg, IA; and her close friend Nancy Hyde of Dubuque, IA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Behr Funeral Home (1491 Main St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
