She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Defendi and Susan Defendi (Klein); her husband Donat; her brother Frank (Beth); her nephew Jeff Defendi; her son-in-law Joe Kirk; and her great grandchild Hayden Daufeldt.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Kirk, Lia Lafond, Meg Greenwood (Steve), Frank Lafond of Dubuque and Eva Egr (Randy Jansa) of Weston, NE; her grandchildren, Cory Daufeldt (Kendra), Sara Johnson, Joseph Kirk (DeAnna), Kyle Jess (Natalie), Hope Greenwood and Tessa Greenwood; and her great grandchildren, Izzac Kirk, Andrew Johnson, Patience Peters (Dalton), Deztiny, Layla Kirk and Kayden Daufeldt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (2215 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish (2215 Windsor Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001).
