He was predeceased by: his father George W. Flanagan; his grandparents, George, Enid Flangan, Alfred "Red" and Betty Cornwell; his stepdaughter Brittany Gaylord; his parents-in-law, James and Shirley Jones; and his brother-in-law Daniel Jones.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Lou Flanagan (Cornwell); his wife Stacy Jones; his sons, Cory Flanagan (Carissa Bishop) and Matthew Flanagan (Megan Hackman); his stepdaughter Olivia Scheffert (Kevin); his grandchildren, Braylee, Eli, Kale, Kora, Rayne, Zoey, Ellie, Tripp, Charlie, Murdoc, Mylo and Lorelei; and his brothers, Bob Flanagan (Tina), Mike Flanagan (Peggy) and George Flanagan (Lisa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
