He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold V. McMahon and Grace C. McMahon (Riley); and his sisters, Jeanne and Rita. He is survived by: his children, Sam (Julie) of Milwaukee, Leah Specht (Joe) of Dubuque and Pete (Katy) of Ames; his grandchildren, Evie, Gus, Maggie, Waylon and Theo; his sisters, Mary Ann Knight (George) of Warwick, NY and Eileen (Steve Karbon) of St. Paul, MN; his close friend Diane Muir; Tom, Jay and Mary Horn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Donations may be made in Tom's honor to Hospice of Dubuque, 1670 JFK Road, Dubuque, IA 52002.
