He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Witry and Lucille Witry (Conry); and his siblings, Bill, Bernie, Bob Witry and Ardy Theophilus.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Witry of Dubuque; his sons, Michael T. Witry of Boise and Matthew J. Witry (Sarah) of Iowa City, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Maggie and Charlie. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A wake will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the St. Anthony's Church (1870 St Ambrose St, Dubuque, IA 52002). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (1870 St Ambrose St, Dubuque, IA 52002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
