He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gerry, Stella Tigges, Clem and Meralda McGovern; his uncles, Steve Golinvaux and Mike Tigges; and his cousin Cade McGovern.

He is survived by: his parents, Terry McGovern and Betty McGovern (Tigges); his daughter Brookelyn; his brothers, Craig McGovern (Amy) and Shane McGovern (Molly); his nieces and nephews, Hayden, Evelyn, Kallen, Arlo and Louie; and his aunts and uncles, Linda Medley, Jim Tigges (Julie), Don McGovern (Julie), Ron Rolwes (Janet) and Marlene Golinvaux. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
