He is survived by: his brothers, Bob Klauer (Judy) of Dubuque and Jim Klauer (Nancy) of Dubuque; his niece Kristen Igo (Mike) of Dubuque; his nephews, Jim Klauer (Kathleen) of Andover, MA, Bill Klauer of Dubuque, Mike Klauer (Emily) of Dubuque and Justin Klauer of Milwaukee, WI; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Caroline Igo, Patrick Igo, Matthew Klauer (Katie), Caitlin Klauer, Daniel Klauer, Thomas Klauer, Abigail Klauer, Henry Klauer, Ryan Klauer, Mia Klauer and Josh Klauer; his caregivers, Jean Finn, Kay Weiland, Dawn Stewart and Charalin Simon; and his friends, John and Dee Sanner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory (3860 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity (1225 Alta Vista St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Dubuque Regional Humane Society, Hospice of Dubuque, Stonehill Communities, and the Church of the Nativity.
