He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence and Myrtle (Nesler). He is survived by: his wife Janet Frick; his children, Steven Porter (Lynne) of Richardson, TX., Suzanne Taylor of Wausau, WI. and Douglas Porter (Jackie) of Phoenix, AZ.; his grandchildren, Andrew Porter (Amber), Ryan Porter, Melissa Taylor, Zachary Porter, Lucas Porter, Talon Porter and Angelica Pinlac; his great grandchildren, Rebecca and Grayson Porter; his brothers, Paul Porter (Carole) and John "Jack" Porter; and his in-laws, Gladys Porter and Jim Stutz.
In lieu of flowers, a William Porter memorial fund has been established.
