He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Steger and Edwina Steger (Klein); and his siblings, Arnold Steger (Lillian), Cletus Steger (Joanne) and Mary Ann Lex.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Steger (Petsche); his children, Mark Steger (Carol) of Dubuque, Connie Burbach (Jeff) of Eagle River, WI and Cheryl Richman (Paul) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Laura Dague (Royce), Jason Burbach (Torie), Amanda Burbach, Andy Burbach, Erica Wasserman (Eero), Angela Vasconcellos (Andy) and Krista Richman (Sebastian); his great grandchildren, Emma, Will, Maggie, Lucy, Tristan, Dakota, Beau and Everly; his brother Gerry Steger (Connie); and his brother-in-law Allen Lex.
A William "Bill" Steger Memorial Fund has been established.
