He is survived by: his children, Ronald Tigges (Jennifer), Cathy Henkel (Chuck Tigges) and Jean Wong (Arizona) of Phoenix; his grandchildren, Jason Henkel (Kristina Castaneda), Jennifer Raymond (Tyler), Mitchel Tigges (Chris) and Willie Tigges (Tim Krueger); his great grandchildren, Eva, Via, Ridley, Ina and Boone; his sister Pat Leonard; and his brother-in-law Nick Kass (Al Pecina).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home (2659 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A wake will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish (2921 Central Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001).
Having a rare blood type, he was a dedicated blood donor who was often called upon to donate blood to someone in need.
