He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph William and Dorothy Lorraine Hein (Pryor); his daughter Robin; his sister Marlene Thompson; and his nephew Charles "Chuck" Hutchins.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth of Avoca; his daughters, Melissa Whitney of Lincoln, Nebraska. and Dr. Karen K. Hein of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.; his granddaughters, Jessica Humphrey (Collin) of Lincoln and Hope Whitney of Lincoln; his siblings, Joanne Siglin (Jim) of Stark City, Missouri., Kenneth Hein of Dunlap and Myrlen Hein (Susan) of Dunlap; and his son Vince Ploen (Tamera) of Harlan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials to honor Bob are preferred to the Nishna Valley Model Railroad Society (NVMRRS) in Harlan, Iowa or to the charity of your choice.
