We announce the death of Deborah Hirsch of Durango, Iowa, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 72. Deborah will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Deborah will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Deborah’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Koenig and Delores Koenig (Scannel); and her brother-in-law Mel Klauer. She is survived by: her husband Paul Hirsch of Durango; her siblings, Mike Koenig (Mary) of Dubuque, Sarah Fondell (Mark) of Dubuque and Jenny Hochberger (John) of Dubuque; and her siblings-in-law, Lyle Hirsch (Nancy) and LaVon Klauer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in Deborah's name to the American Heart Association.
