He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredric J. Schaumburg and Alvina Schaumburg (Tinkam); his siblings, Pearl Dubler (Lewis), Betty Duehr (Benjamin), Irene Sabers (Marv) and Donald Schaumburg; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Schemmel (Millie), Lois Gruel (Bob), Jim Schemmel, Delrose O'Meara (Pete), Rick Schemmel (Carol) and Laura Schemmel.
He is survived by: his wife Coralee Schemmel; his daughters, Mary Kernall (Kris) of Dubuque, Julie Wolff (Dan) of Dubuque and Janet Grant (Larry) of Kieler, WI; his grandchildren, Ramsey (Mykenna), Ty Kernall, RayJae, Riley, Ries Wolff (Aurora Smith), Jaelyn and Karlee Grant; his great grandchildren, Walker and Willow Kernall; his siblings-in-law, RuthAnn Schaumburg of West Plaines, MO, Elsie Payton of Tipton, IA, Donnie Schemmel (Diane) of Waupeton, IA, Chuck Schemmel (Sharon) of Dubuque, Tony Schemmel of Dubuque, Joe Schemmel (Diane) of Dubuque, Bob Schemmel (Cindy) of Dubuque, Joyce Tigges of Dubuque and Marge Schemmel of Durango, IA; and his close friends, Larry, Shirley McNamer, Kevin and Kurt Hess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
