With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joyce Holtz of Durant, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joyce left this world on October 16, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Paustian and Frances Paustian (Price); her husband Gary A. Holtz; her sisters, Diana Henry and Denise O'Toole; and her brothers-in-law, Mark Henry, Kerry O'Toole and Dale LeClaire.
She is survived by: her son Dan Holtz (Melissa) of Solon; her grandchildren, Austin and Sara Holtz; and her siblings, Janice Keller (Tom) of Bettendorf, Linda Dahlin of Davenport and Charles Paustian (Janet) of Durant. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview SIS PTO, which will help build a new elementary playground.
