He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Petersen and Evelyn Petersen (Shellabarger); his wife Dee; his son Scott; his grandson Trevor; and his sister Virginia Marxen.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Petersen (Danna) of Walcott, Troy Petersen (Andrea) of Long Grove and Todd Petersen (Robyn) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Justin Petersen (Jennifer), Ashley Schachow (Nick), Danielle Petersen, Zachery Petersen (Abbie), Logan Petersen, Joey Petersen (Sidney Hambly), A. J. Petersen and Alexandria Petersen; his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Aiden, Brantley and Ryker; and his brother Larry Petersen (Pam) of Long Grove. He is also survived by four sisters.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Keppy 4-H Hall ~ Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds (2815 W Locust St, Davenport, IA 52804).
His contributions to the fair—and the legacy he built within his family and community—will have a lasting impact.
